Tour Highlights

Our outdoor walking tours highlights many of the iconic buildings and sites in Stratford's downtown core.

You will find out how the dream of a Stratford teenager named Tom Patterson became a reality when years later, he created the Stratford Shakespearean Festival.

You will see the war memorial designed by the illustrious sculptor, Walter S. Allward. And of course, no tour of Stratford would be complete without seeing some of the spots frequented by international pop star and Stratford native, Justin Bieber.

Our tour routes are along public sidewalks and streets and can be considered an easy level of physical effort. We traverse a few gentle hills and some stairs, but should you have mobility concerns, please let us know and we can easily modify the tour to accommodate your needs. The boat we take on our river cruise tour option is fully accessible.

We are also dog friendly! Well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome on our tours and on the boat if you are taking a river cruise.

Tours take place rain or shine and will only be cancelled in the vent of extreme weather.

Our Story

Stratford Walking Tours was founded in 2024 by Lauri Leduc. Born and raised in Perth County, Lauri studied Canadian history at university and has a passion for telling stories about our past. While living abroad for 18 months in the United Kingdom and participating in many walking tours there, Lauri was inspired to start a company that highlighted the history of Stratford when she returned to Canada. The idea for Stratford Walking Tours was born!
